City Island (3 hours, Saturdays & Sundays)
Meet your guide at the corner of City Island Ave. & Fordham Street. (Take the #6 Pelham Bay Park train to its last stop; transfer to the BX 29 to City Island).
Description: Stroll Great Minneford, City Island’s original name, a community that is equal to none in NYC. Home to a once prosperous sailmaking industry, which employed hundreds of “clamdiggers,” who lived in modest homes, still found along tree-lined streets. A stop at the The Nautical Museum, the old P.S. 17 building (1897) is a treasure not to be missed. Lastly, work up an appetite for late lunch or early dinner at one of City Island’s incredible seafood restaurants (optional).

Yankee Stadium and Grand Concourse Neighborhood (2 hours – $35/adult, $30/senior and sudent)
Description: Meet your guide at the NE corner of River Avenue and W. 161 St. (Take the #4 or B and D trains to 161 St Yankee Stadium station.) View the new YANKEE STADIUM and see where the “old” one once stood. The tour continues north towards the Grand Concourse with brief stops at the former Concourse Plaza Hotel, Borough Hall, Joyce Kilmer Park and the Andrew Freedman Home (once proud senior residence for NY’s former well-to-do).
Little Italy-the Bronx (2 hours – $35/adult, $30/senior and student)
Description: Meet your guide at the NE corner of Arthur Avenue and E. 187 St. (Take the D or #4 train to Fordham Rd station then #12 bus heading east; take the #2 or #5 train to Pelham Parkway then #12 bus heading west. ) Roam through the streets of Little Italy and savor the aromas as pass the food shops and restaurants. Learn of its colorful past with anecdotes and pictures. Come hungry and bring large bag to take home goodies. (Cost of food not included.)
